What Kind of Hair Transplant did Antonio Conte Have?
In 2007, Conte traveled to Vancouver, Canada for his third and final procedure. This time, however, he decided to undergo a Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) transplant. FUE is one of the most modern hair transplant procedures today and provides far more satisfactory results than older methods.
FUE transplants function by removing a patient’s healthy hair before implanting it into a recipient site. Unlike, FUT procedures, though, this method doesn’t require removing any strips of skin but instead removes each hair follicle individually. This results in a transplant that leaves no visible scar and offers a far more natural-looking final result.
Typically, a FUE hair transplant requires from 2,000 to 6,000 individual grafts. Given the extreme results shown by Conte, it’s likely that his transplant was on the larger side. Even still, these procedures typically only take a few hours and patients are able to leave almost immediately after the operation.
