Beard Hair Transplants In Turkey

Benefit from the most advanced techniques of the Dr. Serkan Aygin Clinic, to achieve a full beard without any gaps.

What Is A Beard and Moustache Transplant?

Long considered as a sign of male virility, a beard or moustache can provide many concrete benefits; from creating a distinctive contour to a face to covering unsightly scars or blemishes, a beard has allowed many a man to feel more confident in his appearance. Sadly, for many men things like hormonal fluctuations, previous scarring, or just genetics can prevent them from growing a thick, full beard – or even any beard hair at all.

A facial hair transplant provides a reliable solution for all of these struggles. At the Dr Serkan Aygin Clinic, we offer a full range of facial hair transplant services. A beard transplant can provide a patient with a permanent masculine appearance. While similar treatments in the UK can cost up to £7,000, beard hair transplants in Turkey are significantly cheaper and guarantee results on par with anywhere else.

Whether you desire a simple moustache, a stylish goatee, or a full, grizzled beard, we can create a custom facial hair transplant solution that is perfectly sculpted for you.

How Is A Beard or Moustache Transplant Performed?

A beard hair transplant is no different from the standard hair transplantation process. As with all of our transplantation procedures, the first step is a full hair analysis with Dr Serkan Aygin – a world-leading expert on aesthetic surgery with over two decades of experience – in order to establish the specific needs and options for any patient. During this consultation, the two main areas of focus are on the recipient area and the number of individual hair follicles (grafts) to be removed from the donor area to achieve full results. At our clinic, we perform beard hair transplants using the Direct Hair Implantation (DHI) technique. DHI is a modified version of Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplantation which uses a specialised implanter pen (the Choi Pen). To begin, each individual hair follicle (graft) is extracted from the donor area and is prepared for implantation into the recipient area. Typically the donor area is the back of the head, though hair follicles can also be taken from the back of the neck or under the chin in certain cases. Once removed, the hair follicles are ready to be implanted into the recipient area. By using the DHI method for hair implantation we can quickly and precisely implant each graft following the natural direction of growth of any existing beard hair. As with all of our other procedures, facial hair transplants are minimally invasive and result in little to no pain both during and after the beard or moustache transplant with absolutely no scarring or stitches, While each case is unique, a typical beard hair transplant requires between 1,000 and 1,500 individual grafts and takes between 3 and 6 hours. Depending on the specific results desired, multiple sessions may be required.

Beard Transplant Results and Aftercare

Immediately following any hair transplant procedure it is not uncommon to experience slight swelling, redness, and/or pain over the next few days. This is to be expected and will subside on its own within two to three days. At the same time, a small amount of bleeding and scabbing is likely to occur; again, this is normal and will end in a matter of days.

For the first three days following the beard or moustache transplant, our medical team advises that you do not wash your hair and try to get as much rest as possible. After three days it is typically safe to resume washing your hair; however, do so gently and use a mild – preferably baby – shampoo. During the two weeks following the procedure, any sports, saunas, or extensive exposure to sunlight should be avoided entirely.

Patients may be surprised by the initial results. During the hair transplantation process, the hair follicles are weakened, as a result, the hair can begin to fall out over the first few weeks. This is known as “shock hair loss” and is a completely normal part of any hair transplant. Over the next three to twelve months the hair will grow back. This beard hair is permanent and can be treated the same as any other hair. Washing, styling, even dyeing can all be handled by your new healthy beard hair.
